Canadian Western TCM Clinic (“we”, “us”, “the Clinic”) is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us across our four Greater Vancouver clinics. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
We use your information to provide and coordinate your care, schedule appointments, dispense herbal medicine, process insurance and ICBC billing, communicate with you, meet our professional and legal obligations, and improve our services. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for these purposes, or as permitted or required by law.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only where necessary — for example, to your insurer or ICBC for billing you have authorised, to service providers who help us operate (such as our booking system and payment processor) under confidentiality safeguards, or where required by law or a regulatory body.
Subject to legal and regulatory limits, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for uses that are not required for your care or by law. To make a request, contact us.
We protect your information with reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.
These Terms govern your use of this website and the services of Canadian Western TCM Clinic. By using this website or booking with us, you agree to these Terms.
We provide Traditional Chinese Medicine care — including acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui Na, moxibustion, cupping and related therapies — delivered by practitioners registered in British Columbia. Care is individualised, and outcomes vary from person to person.
Our services complement, and do not replace, conventional medical care. In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Always consult your physician about serious or worsening conditions and before stopping any prescribed treatment.
Information on this website is provided for general education only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. That relationship is formed only through an in-person consultation and assessment at one of our clinics.
Appointments may be booked online, by phone or in person. Fees are as posted or quoted at the time of booking. Cancellations are subject to our Cancellation & No-Show Policy below.
The content, design and marks on this website belong to Canadian Western TCM Clinic and may not be copied or reused without permission.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here.
We reserve dedicated time for every appointment. To keep care accessible to all patients, we ask for reasonable notice when you need to change or cancel.
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, by phone or through our booking system.
Cancellations with less than the required notice, and missed appointments (“no-shows”), may be subject to a fee. Repeated no-shows may require prepayment for future bookings.
If you arrive late, we will do our best to treat you within the remaining time; your session may be shortened so the next patient is not delayed.
Missed insurer- or ICBC-related appointments may not be covered by your claim and may be billed to you directly.
We understand emergencies happen. Fees may be waived at the Clinic’s discretion in genuine emergency or illness situations.
