Acupuncture

Fine needles, precise points — a calm, time-tested therapy for pain, sleep and balance.

Acupuncture
What it is

Acupuncture places very fine, single-use needles at specific points on the body to prompt its own responses — easing muscle tension, calming an over-active nervous system, and supporting local circulation.

It is one of the most studied traditional therapies, and is widely used alongside conventional care for several kinds of pain, tension and sleep difficulty.

In traditional Chinese medicine, these points lie along channels (meridians), and the work is described as restoring the smooth movement of qi.

What a session is like

After a short intake (pulse, tongue, history), needles are placed and left in for a period of rest. Most people feel only a small pinch, then a heavy or warm sensation.

Needles are sterile and single-use. You may feel relaxed or a little tired afterward.
